Q: Why should I hire you?

Q: How long have you been photographing weddings?

A: I've been shooting weddings professionally since 2009 and have photographed over 200 weddings.

Q: What is included in your wedding collections?

A: I have a variety of collections to fit your specific needs offering engagement session and albums and all sorts of good stuff. All collections include an online gallery and a digital download of the high resolution files and start at $2995. For a full pricing list of my wedding collections, please fill out my contact form

Q: Do you shoot elopements or shorter events?

A:  Yes, and I LOVE being part of smaller, more intimate ceremonies. For these events I do offer an hourly rate.

Q: I would like you to shoot my wedding, how do I start the process?

A: Reach me via my contact form along with your wedding date and venue, if secured. I can respond by email or phone. If possible, I would like to meet you both in person so you can get to know your future photographer and can ask me everything you need. Once you have decided to choose me as your photographer, I will send a contract for you to sign and and return with a retainer. After that, you can check “find a photographer” off your wedding to-do list and we can begin the fun of planning your engagement session!

Q: How much do I need to deposit?

A: I require a 20% initial retainer and the rest of the fee to be paid 30 days prior to the wedding day.

Q: How far should we book in advance?

A: Typically 6-12 months in advance, as soon as you have a date and venue. If you’re not the plan way in the advance type of guy or gal, fret not. Check with me for availability.

Q: Will you be shooting the wedding?

A: Yes. You are hiring me to shoot the wedding, not another photographer working under my name.

Q: Do you travel for weddings?

A: Yes! I work in the Portland and Eugene areas regularly and am always game for meeting you in some exotic location! For specific pricing for destination weddings, please contact me.

Q: What is your photography style?

A: My main goal with photography is to show you the beauty in your life and for you to recognize the things you love about each other in the photographs. If you love the way his nose wrinkles when he laughs, or how her hair flows in the wind or what it feels like to hold his hand. I want to capture all of that and show you how even the little things you might not notice everyday are worth celebrating and savoring. I don't want your photos to feel posed or forced or fake. I strive to have a clean, authentic and classic style that showcases who you two are at that moment in your story.

Q: What kind of equipment do you use?

A: I shoot with a Canon 5d mkiii and many different Canon prime and zoom lenses. I also always bring my own lighting gear to weddings so that I am prepared for any type of lighting scenario from dark dressing rooms to candle lit receptions to sun-drenched ceremonies.

Q: Do you offer engagement sessions?

A: Yes! I absolutely love photographing engagement sessions. Engagement sessions are a fun, relaxed way to capture who you are in the everyday normalcy that makes up the rest of forever. It's how he makes you laugh and how her hand feels in yours. It's the beautiful mundane and the passionate side by side. These might be my absolute favorite sessions.  The anticipation of the wedding is looming, the stress of planning the big day can be forgotten long enough to remember the reason you're working so hard at it. It's a great excuse to focus on your fiance and really see how stinkin' adorable you are together. It's a great way to get comfortable in front of my camera and get some great photos that you can use for invitations or a slideshow at the wedding even.

Q: When will I get to see my wedding photos?

A: I almost always will post a teaser photo on Facebook and Instagram either the evening of the wedding or the next day. I am usually just so excited to share with you some of the great images from the day. Your album design and the rest of your photos will be up on your online gallery within 30 days of your wedding.

Q: How will my images be delivered?

A: Your images will be uploaded to a private online gallery much like this one: www.tekoarosephoto.com/emilyandluke From this gallery you can view your photos, download the digital images as well as order prints and other products. You have the option of password protecting any folder or image, and you can always share the link to your gallery with friends and family. They then will have the ability to order prints directly through the gallery as well. There is no expiration date on your gallery. It will stay up as long as the internet is around :)

Q: Do you offer albums?

A: Yes, I love creating beautiful albums that you can share with your friends and family and enjoy for years and years. Your albums design is something we will work on together.  If you'd like to see some examples of the albums contact me to set up a consultation.

Q: How many photos will I receive and will I receive all of the photos you take during the day?

A: Because every wedding is different and have unique timelines, I don't promise an exact number of photos. Generally from 8 hours of wedding coverage I will take between 1500-3000 photos, but will narrow those down to the very best that meet my artistic standard and deliver those to you. Usually that number is between 600-1000 final images.

Q: What rights do I have to the digital prints?

A: You have the right to reprint images whenever you want, wherever you want. However you may not sell your images for a profit or publish you images with out the written consent of Tekoa Rose Photography
